So, as shown by my post title...I got a free lunch today!! BJs is opening in Gainesville and today (including this weekend!) was their dry run through!
They offered up potato skins as an appetizer, which were very substantial and more than enough for two of us. I had one potato skin to try and it was very tasty.
I ordered The Field Greens which had:
- chicken breast
- roasted red peppers
- mandarin oranges
- sugared pecans (uh..yum?)
I eat about half my salad and I am going to eat the rest (picture to follow) tonight with dinner!
I also had two bites of the BBQ chicken pizza, which had a really nice crust on it!
YAY for free food.
This morning I did some yoga and had a really good bowl of oats with the usual:
- skim milk
- 1.5tbsp trail mix
- blob of all natural PB
I did cooking today with the kiddos- we made dirt pudding...with cream cheese and powedered sugar mixed into the pudding. It had 2 spoonfuls and let me tell you...delish. I had to have the spoonfuls :p because I made a very stupid mistake.
I always eat breakfast, then a snack, then lunch, then a snack, then dinner and sometimes dessert or a snack.
Well, I ate break at 8:30am and didn't need a snack before lunch at 11am. Fine. HOWEVER... I wasn't terribly hungry so around 2:30pm, I had 4 little chunks of pineapple. BY 5PM, I was famished! I scarfed down my yogurt and granola and seriously had a hungry stomach ache until 10min ago, when I ate the other half of my morning banana. What I should have done was had a light snack around 2:30pm (such as string cheese and a cup of fruit) and then my normal snack around 4:30/5. Instead, I let myself get too hungry. Lesson learned. Luckily, I was able to stop at two bites and come home to a nice half a banana.
